The six girls started their year early In the sumnner practicing together and attending a summer camp at SMU, During the year they promoted spirit by attending games, decorating the concourse and the gym, organizing pep rallies, and selling ribbons They were helped In their eftorts by Miss Shirley GIngerlch, their sponsor, and mascot Bill Flee- man. a. Annual Roman banquet inspires Latin students Latin Club was brought together by two parties this year The first was Saturnalia, which was held at Barbara Hunt ' s house on December 10 It was an Informal party intended to bring the Latin students together. The second was the Roman banquet held on March 10, celebrating the Ides of March. The Latin students were to dress up as Roman citizens. The first year students served as slaves and the second year students served as roy- alty. Mr s. Paciotti sponsored the Latin Club. Monte English was president and Tommy McKenzie was vice presi- dent.
