Mustangs dominate basketball courts as King cashes in on district wins King swept into district play with a win over Kingsville. The Mustangs were threatened by Carroll in an im- portant district game as Mike Bourg sank in the winning score in the last second of play to put the Mustangs past Carroll 65-63 The Green- Machine eased past Ray in a tight game ending with a score of 67-63. a Tommy Kirkland plays keep-away with a cou- ple of Kingsville players, b. The Mustangs squeaked past McAI- len at Edinburg for the bi-district crown, the first for King. Tommy Kirk- land sunk a tvs o-pointer in the final seconds of tense play to clinch the title, 50-49. The preceding week. King smashed Ivliller in the district game through foul shots, 70-64. In the district game, ingenuity and fast plays kept the I lustangs over under and in the basket throughout the entire game.
