Indian summer stretches fall into fun With the end of football season and the beginning of basketball. November kept students in full swing. Approximately 150 seniors of sever- al government classes left on their an- nual trip to Austin. They visited places of interest, including the University of Texas campus. The Drama Department drew large crowds and favorable reviews with its first production, A Midsummer Night ' s Dream. The beginning of the end began when seniors were asked to sign up for their diplomas in the counselors ' office.

Sophomores get it together for a 7-3 record Under the guidance of Coaches Colvin Ward and Monte Stratton. the sophomore football team ended the 71 season with a record of seven wins and three losses. Dwight Perez, who led the sophomore team to their earlier victories, was drafted onto the varsity squad. The only time the Mustangs failed to score was in their final game against the Moody Trojans. a.
