German Club determines upcoming projects The German Club started out this year with a new constitution, written this past summer by President Susan Diemert. German guests mingled with members on several occasions and talks concerning German culture were given by Don Boomgaarden. A bake- sale was held in February and plans for future ones were discussed. Profits were to be used for a trip to be taken at the end of the year. Le Chapitre dreams of New Orleans i-te . The French Club started out the year with the election of officers. Those chosen were Libba Linn, presi- dent; Carolyn Hicks, vice president; Marcia Thompson, secretary; and Debbie McLendon, treasurer. Libba Linn was also chosen as Le Chapitre ' s nominee for homecoming queen. The club had a Chnstmas party and planned on a spring trip to San Anto- nio to see the French opera Le Barbier de Seville. These were financed by a November French bread sale and the sale of carnations for Valentine ' s Day.
