FIASA At King, there is a club that allows its mem- bers to operate such machines as the scrollsaw, router, and the lathe, besides many others. This club, which is sponsored by Mr. Crowe, is known as Florida Industrial Arts Student Asso- ciation or just FIASA. This club lets its mem- bers actually show how skillful they are by let- ting them practice on machines. The club also opens up to its members many career opportu- nities. EBE Cooperative Business Education (CBE) is a club in which its members arc primarily seniors who arc in office — type experience classes. The coordinator. Mrs. Heck, again sponsored this club. The members of CBE normally arc enrolled in classes that will help them when they graduate from King High. The students also work under their respective occupation at school as well as when they are out of school in the afternoon. This club is mostly made up of students who were also in FBLA, another business-type club. 170 CBE

172 FHA Another year had gone by, and the King High FHA — Future Homemakers of America — has had another successful year with sponsor Mrs. Deck. This club, which made up of students who are in Life Skills classes. Participated in many activi- ties this year, including making all of the cookies for Sugar Shak and attending the County Council, which was held in Octo- ber. The club is not only for those students who are in cooking or homemaking, yet many students did not know about that, hence the small club population.
