The first Glee Club was begun in 1932 and was led by Mrs. Marguerite Gentry. Miss Sadie Wilson came in 1935 and was the fiist public school music teacher. She taught music in the grades and led the Glee Club. Mrs. Ma rgue rite Gentry assumed this position in 1945 when Miss Wilson left. Mrs. Bla n c h e Bullock followed Mrs. Gentry in 1957 and she served un- til 1960. Since this date there has be en no public school music teacher, and Mrs. Rebecca Moser has directed the Glee Club. Nr-J MISS VIOLA TUTTLE The Piano Department, in the King School, was es- tablished in the fall of 1924, with Miss Viola Tuttle as the teacher. She has taught twenty-six years in the school, but not consecutively. The department has g rown tre- mendously through the years. The present enrollment is fifty-five-seven boys and forty-eight girls. The success of Miss Tuttle's teaching is reflected in many of the churches in the King community, through competent pianists and organists.
