We feel that this year has been a most successful one. Along with all our work, we had a Valentine Party, and we hear that our teacher, Mrs. Newell Newsom, is planning a surprise picnic for us during summer vacation. The high lights of the glee club work this year were presenting two radio programs over station W. T. O. B. and a program of Christmas music at the school and one at King Baptist Church during the holiday season. A group of these singers will make up a choir which will furnish music for commencement. The accompanist for the glee club is Betty Searcy. The director is Mrs. Worth Gentry. n tw ge up Q s

The 1948-49 King Chapter f th o e F.F.A. is doing a splendid job in their chapter and project work. Last fall they pruned th h e s rubbery around the school build' made different kinds of furnit ' ings, ure for sale and various articl f es or home use. On December 15, 1948 the Kin Ch , g apter of F.F.A. purchased four feeder pigs one of which we are planning to use for the Fath er-and-Son banquet along with several of the broilers that we are feedin t g ou as another chapter project. These are projects carried on by the chapter, while each individual F F . .A. member had several similar or comparable projects of his own h' w ich he carries on at his home, keeping an accurate record of all receipts and expenses so h ' e will know how he came out on each project when it is finished. The-F.F.A.
