' 1 l i I monitor five radio circuits, the bitch-box , and the sound- powered phones, and remain cool throughout any tactical situation. Aside from being abreast of the ship's operations at all times, the RD's aid in navigating the ship safely, con- trol aircraft, and eternally look out for approaching ships or aircraft.
