The class enioyed a Sock Hop and Chili Feed as their first semester party. The traditional reception for parents of the Seniors and Faculty Members was held in the new gym, December 22. On December 19, the class sponsored a Christmas Ball. The new gym was decorated in keeping with the theme, Winter Wonderland. In order to raise money for the Senior trip to Salt Lake, which was enioyed during the spring, concessions were sold at the games and a September cake walk was sponsored. The Senior play also helped the treasury funds. The year closed with the Senior assembly presented by the class to the Student body, Baccalaureate in the middle of May, and finally the long, long march down the traditionally candle lit aisle to receive our diplomas. Among our activities to raise money for the Junior-Senior Prom and Banquet were a cake walk in the fall, a candy walk in the spring, a show, The Arabian Nights and a box social held during the noon hour for the entire student body. We also had concessions at a basketball game. We gathered scrap iron and sold it in order to make money for our Carnival King and Queen, David Higgins and Carolyn Mason, we enjoyed a winter dance party as well as our Junior-Senior Prom and Banquet which were both a success. The theme for our Prom and Banquet was China-Town. An exciting year was had by all and we are looking forward to being Seniors next year.
