Thats probably why it shocked everyone so much when they found out that she had been confined to a nearby sana- torium, a TB. victim. As the shoclc wore oil, we began thinlcing of all Miss Lepalc had done for us. The discussions in history, the smile always ready, the annual senior class play, all added up to happy re- membrances. To us, Miss Lepalc seems to be more of a Friend than a teacher. ln appreciation For all Miss Lepalc has done lor us, vve dedicate this year's Kimet to her, with our sincere wishes for a speedy recovery. Miss Grace Lepalc Left to Right: l'-larolcl Wentzel, Joseph Dupont, Dr. Ralph Gage SCI-ICDQI. BGARD This group ol leading citizens, the 'ifVlother Sea from which all good things flow, have, by their examples and positions, given us a ray of light to guide us through the storms and malte the very best ol what we do. lhey ably handle the business end ol our school and always have our wellare in mind. Without the aid ol the beacons from the Hlighthousen ol this Mother Seaf' our good ship ol lcnowledge would soon be sailing oil course into the coral reels. lhey have done their very best to promote the general wellare ol the students ol our school. If we only had the ability ol our drops, puddles, and streams, to talte the shape ol any container, we would choose to resemble these men. If it were possible to imitate them in every way, we could consider ourselves to be a success. We can try to pattern our lives alter them, lo all these men we can only say, 'ithanltsf' Seas of management Page 5 Page 6 PRINCIPAL AND CDFFICE STAFF Vlr. J. R. Gerritts Oceans of guidance To you, Mr. Gerritts, we, the graduating class oi '56, ovve oceans of gratitude. Through the help oi such a strong advisor and director, we have fought the current. We started through school as little drops, and have now been turned into large bodies oi water, and flow on out into the ocean of the future. Because oi your understanding and good will, we will ricle the waves. As vve llovv forth, out ol K. l-l. S, vve will turn the tide to hail a big HThanlc You. We must not forget the efficient help we have received from our office secretaries, Evelyn and Rose Mary. They were always found ready and willing to help us vvhere- ever possible. Whenever approached, they are seen bubbling over with joy. The graduates are proud to have had them sailing with us. S. Through these four prosperous years, we ventured through rain and shine with flying colors. Those days are well-remembered by all, when we as freshmen entered the newly remodeled school. We had our difficulties, but soon adjusted ourselves to the fine years ahead of us. There were sports, dances, extra curricular activities and new experiences everyday. We had our ups and downs, but we were loolcing ahead for the better days. Now as we receive our diplomas, we recall those happy days, along with the troubled ones. The climb may have been hard, but the reward was great.
