Four more girls, Mimi Evans and Anne VanVleclc are The only ones sTill wiTh us, enTered our class, now beginning To grow. An ouTsTanding evenT was May Day, in which Mimi, Lynn, Anne, and KiT Tool: parT as Train- bearers and flower girls. Our second grade Teacher, Mrs. CurTiss, had a Try- ing Time wiTh us, in spiTe oT The TacT ThaT There were no new girls lSeven oT us were bad enoughl. We develo ed an inTeresT in painTing and learned To sing ThiaT rousing song Ten LiTTIe Indians all by ourselves. Toolcie Onderdonlc, Nell Fisk, Leslie Bunce, JaneT Coolc, and Ann Aeschlimann joined our Torces, and none oT us will ever TorgeT our home-room Teacher, Miss Flannery, who insTrucTed us in maThemaTics and manners while we passed Through a movie sTar and Trading card craze. HISTQRY 1949- 1950 1950- 1951 1951 1952 1952 1953 1953 1954 We enTered The Upper School! This was an ouT- sTanding year, for we became an even larger class wiTh The addiTion of Mary Lee Bonnell, Anne War- nick, Vicki Wendf, and Fluffy Fergusson. We were all inTrigued wiTh Fluffy's cuTe English accenT. This was also The year in which Kimberley made The greaT move To 2OI Valley Road. This was a Time of parTies and dances-and hard work. We had a class dance which everyone ThoughT was greaT fun. Our class was sTill growing, and Amy Roberfs, Phyllis Dudiak, and Robin Do- herTy joined us. The work seemed really To pile up in our sophomore year, buf once in a while we wiggled ouT To have some hen parTies wiTh our now huge class, The largesT K.S. had even seen. The sixfeen girls who descended upon us This year were Aubin Zabriskie. Our junior year, and whaT a year! lT sTarTed off wiTh a bang when Jackie Kaveny, Jean OlmsTead, and Gael SeTon joined us and we won Fall Frolics again wiTh a performance cenTering around a Gershwin Theme. This was The year we groaned our way Through our firsT source Themes and S.A.T.s. We received class rings wiTh deep emoTions and spenT half The year working on Class Day. We began To drive, Too, and There were frayed nerves among parenTs and passengers! Our senior year and our besT one has now come and gone. Barbara Groo enTered wiTh Tales of old Nassau, and we were forTy-one sTrong. There were a rash of college scarves and a bursT of weekend acTiviTy during The winTer. BuT mosT of all, This year cenTered around COLLEGE! College, S.A.T.s, and College Boards were our main Topics of conversa- Tion. We'll never forgeT Those fierce inTellecTual discussions during lunch hour or ThaT precious cigareTTe aT Bond's, eiTher.
