JV Wins district title The Iunior Varsity football team clenched its seventh straight district championship by remaining undefeated in ten games. During the entire season, the IV Knights allowed their opponents only 19 points. Out of the ten season games, seven were shut-outs. Although all of the games were a challenge, the highlight of the season was a 7 to 6 victory over Skyline. Skyline became a rival team for the IV players when they became the only team to defeat the Kimball IV team last year. The winning performances on the field this year were a result of the total cooperation and commitment of the entire IV team and its coachin staff. Several players were reco nized by Coach MeTvin Lark as exhibiting considerabqe efforts in helping to achieve the champion- ship title. The players were: Bruce Gamble, Andre Phillips, Iohn Ross, Travis Reed, and Micah Abram. When Coach Lark was asked for his opinion concern- ing the IV football team, he replied, They dis layed very fine character and team unity throughout the ten ame schedule. . . I am very proud of this team. As it has een in the past, next year's IV team will be challenged to uphold the tradition of winning the district championship. .. ..
