Knights hove o winning ottitude Once again, the Kimball Varsity Football team showed excellence on the field by winning the district championship. The Knights ended the year with a commendable record of seven wins, three losses, and one tied game against Carter. By practicing long hours in the summer and after school, the Knights were ready to begin the year with a victory. Their first victory against Jesuit was the start of a string of victories for the Knights. The outstanding efforts contributed by all of the players and the strong support from the fans helped the Knights come away with the district title. Because of their consistency on the field, several players were selected to the 11-AAAAA All-District Team. Players selected to the All-District team on offense were Marcus Blackburn, Alton Gillis, Ted- dy Potts, Michael Fulbright, Michael Blackburn, Kevin Wilson, and Craig Neal. The defensive team consisted of Sam Widemon, Chris Thomas, Anthony Partida, Rene Watson, Kevin Wilson, Craig Neal, Kerry Harper, and Anthony Harper. Anthony Harper was also selected to the All Metro Team. Coach Hitchcock was pleased with the outcome of the 1985-86 season. The guys played well, commented Coach Hitchcock. This enabled us to win or tie for the district championship four times in the last six years. This is one of the best records in the city. It's a compli- ment to the Varsity players and to the program itself. .Q 5 - s , A First row: D. Snead, Muncie Crawford, Coys Ray, Craig Neal, Gary Dottany.
