Mr. Durrett 'addresses the student body. When one thinks of Kimball it is impos- sible not to think of Mrl. William P. Durrett. His accomplishments, hopes, and dreams are the backbone of Kimballrand what ,Kimballistands for. He is the central sup- port around which Kimball revolves. Wei oIways1..seek the best'il' is so much more than iust our school's motto. lt is what Mr. Durretthas worked alifetimeifor in order that his students might take pride in themselves and their school. Because he caresg he will not accept less. ln this day of changing values and ideas, Mr. Dorrett has remaihed steadfast in his 'iii belief that each student of Kimball has dignity and worth. V Before coming to Kimball in l969, Mr. Thornton had heard that Kimball was a . cold, irunfriendly school. Howevery now that he has served as Kimballslassistant principal- for two years, Mr. !Thornton is more -impressed by the friendly atmo- sphere of Kimball than by anything, else. Mrl Thornton held several goals for the post year.
