N 6 ,,,f- ,, l - l 1 V P Wh Excalibur? When Kimball High School opened in nineteen hundred, fifty- seven, the students selected the name EXCALIBUR for the year- book. This choice was appropriate, since, according to legend, Excali- bur was King Arthur,s magical sword. The sword had been a gift from the Lady of the Lake. At A1'thur7s death, it was hurled into the lake by a mysterious hand and carried beneath the waters. The legend states that the spirit of Ex- calibur still reigns within the heart of all true Knights. ,f' 8 1.
