Ingram, Mr. Loyd G. Shelby, Mr. Robert S. Folsom. MEMBERS OF THE BOARD Mrs. Traq ' H. Rutherford is President of the Board of Education. She is the first woman member to head the group, and this is her seventeenth year of service. Mrs. Rutherford is a business woman, the former president of Rutherford ' s Business College. In 1950, Mrs. Vernon D. Ingram began her duties as a School Board member, after holding the presidency of both elementary and high school Parent-Teacher organi- zations. She was also a member of the Dallas City Council of the P.T.A. Her committee positions have been Lunch- room, Supplies, and Welfare. Mr. R. B. Gilmore is Vice-President of the Board. He has been a member of the Building Committee and ser ' es on the Athletic Committee. His occupation is that of Con- sulting Petroleum Engineer and Geologist. Mr. Robert S. Folsom is in the second year of member- ship on the School Board. He is Chairman of the Build- ing Committee, and is an attorney by profession. Serving as a Board member for the first year is Mr. Lee A. McShan, Jr. He is on the Athletic and the Supplies Committees and represents the Bryan Adams district. He is a Dallas florist. Mr. J. Willard Gragg also is a new member of the Board of Education. North Oak Cliff is his district, and he is on the Supplies and the Welfare Committees. His profession is that of law. Mr. Donald M. Bruton represents the South Dallas dis- trict. He has been a member four years, now serving as Chairman of Supplies. Formerly he was on the Lunchroom and the Tax Committees. His occupation is that of auto- mobile agency head. Mr. John Plath Green has served two years on the School Board, representing Place Two. He is Chairman of the Sites Committee. He is a lawyer. A third member whose service began last year is Mr. Loyd G. Shelby. He is in the Kimball district and is a builder and realtor of the area. He serves on the Building and the Welfare Committees. 10
