Settitn i¥i4t tocf, Early one September morning as a hoard of unusual beings we were taken in a room known as the kindergarten. We struggled through a music contest, 2 May fetes, and a play. Some of our educated group were Jack Vencill, Kenneth Clinger, Joan Strasheim, Bill Maginnis, Sonia Torgeson, Donna Mulvihill, Jim Stander, and Robert Pinkerton. In 1946, 14 boys and 15 talented girls entered K.C.H.S. A week later none of us thought we were so talented after the initiation we were put through to become Freshmen. During our freshman year we were led by Mr. Flanders and Johnny Vencill. During our Junior year through the leadership of Jim Stander, Mrs. Marhefka and Mr. Panchear we put on the Junior-Senior Prom and Banquet for the seniors. Our theme was the Stork Club. Miss Swick directed our junior class play, NUTS AND BOLTS”. As seniors we were led by the boys and Mr. Pancheau. The play, BEST FOOT FORWARD,” was presented under the direction of Mr. Babcock. The outstanding athletes of our class were Jim Stander, Bill Maginnis, Sammy Marshno, Martin Esch, and Frank Land. DONNA BARRET is now in Dix and is known as the number one lady of society, since she has taken up the occupation of teaching women drivers and has provided the city’s first stoplight. SONIA TORGESON is starring in a Broadway theater and sells Packards on the side. ANNABELLE BLACK has established a lonely hearts club in one of the large cities. Her customers are complaining, though; it seems she keeps all the best prospects for herself. B. J. RAPER can’t make up her mind which college to attend - - Yale or Harvard.
