, . V. Q '4 . Atten da nts uanita Fredericks, Many Monroe, neen Lois Fenton, Mmy Fisher Students could be seen everywhere during the latter part of September busily preparing for the main event of the year--Homecoming. Starting the action was a pep rally held in the gymnasium on Homecoming Eve, September 25. The pro- gram consisted of yells by the cheerleaders and pep squad and several numbers by the band. Memories of the 1957 Homecoming were also renewed by a showing of slides of that occasion. The evening was given a royal touch with the crowning of Queen Lois Fenton and King Barry Fisher by Kay Fettig, queen of 1957. The newly crowned royalty preceded the spectators outdoors where King Barry lit the bon- fire. As the fire blazed, the students were led by the cheerleaders in a snake dance and another rousing pep rally. A short party for the students held in the gym concluded the evening's activities. Cowboy attired students welcomed the big day, September 26, with a parade. Composed of class and organ- ization floats, the band and the royalty. The parade proceeded down main street where a pep rally was held. Returning to the school, the spectators viewed an interesting football game between the Killdeer Cowboys and Mott Cardinals. The hard-fought battle resulted in a victory for the Cardinals. Players and students met for a brief social afterward in the gym. In conclusion of the activities of the two-day event, a dance was held in the gymnasium. Students and adults enjoyed dancing to the music of Bob Brackel and his orchestra.
