PROHHECY Ccont I As the scene changed, I saw Aaron Schopfer sitting at the desk in front of a television camera He had his own program At last, the Nat1on co1ld hear some of the Jokes and some of the pranks that made Aaron as popular at Hillbuck High He was a great success by the looks of the fan ma1l p1led around him Next I saw the door to an office and on the door was a Slgn that read Norma Chaney Journalist Copie of the New York Times were lying on a table not far from the entrance Norma had apparently won her goal in the world a feature writer on the New York Times Then the vision changed to French Rid e, and to the Pyer s father had ret red, except for odd Jobs Jn1OP had three boys waiting for h1m as he walked up the path from the barn At the was Just pulling away Guess who the dr1ver was Naturally it of dr1v1n one when he was in school The vision moved slowly to a scene in Alaska A boat was fast pullin up to the dock and his brother stepped from the deck They were in the whalin, industry The tr1p was a tell by the way they were actin As the scene moved farther down the Western Coast, I saw Charles Gallion busy working He was making a model of his latest airplane It was a f1ve passenger model and was built It could fly up, down, and around more quickly than a bird Charles is known throughout t navagation for his nodels and superior work in that field Farm Junior was operating the farm His and twin g1P1S They were all 1n the yard barn a large tank type modern m1lk truck 1S Howard Masters He was always talking fommy Aibby success I could in h1S labratory for family use he world of As I sat there I could hear mus1c from afar off Someone was play1ng a steel gultar I co ld see a great crowd of people They were all listening to the man n the center of the stage He was tall with black hair He played better than anyone I have ever heard As his image came closer 1n my vision, I could tell that he was Leland Parsons I guess a lot of practice and drive can always make someone a success A5 the music faded away, I could hear the buzz of a saw 1n the distance A great saw mill was in view Gene Hawkins wa giving some of the men orders He was in partnership WltH his fatner H1s father was the figurehead and Gene gave the orders Together they were doing well They ran the largest lumber camp ln the Nation Hawkins and Hawkins Saw H111 Slowly the V1S1OH moved to a corridor of City Hospital 1n New York Sitting at the desk was Louise Galllon She had worked her way up to head nurse I was really surpri ed because I never really took her seriously when she talked of b ing a nurse, but I gue s she really knew what she was talking about Then the scene slowly changed to a basketball Court Bob Hunter was practlclng On 01 Jumpshots He S all pro now and is playin WILD the Fort Wayne PISHOHS ine coach is walking over to him Wait! As the court fades away, I car see a Neon sign that reads France Dolores Clark's work is known all over the world Her newe t sensation She has risen to fame the worli over because Dee's Beauty Shop It's located in Paris, latest hair style, the Crew Cut Bob, 1S the of tnis new look 1n hair stylin the desk The one and only Wallace Croskey He had gone all the way from Hillbuck Fireman to State Fire Marsnall Oh1O 15 noted for its fire prevention thanks to Chick and his great work Then I was taken across the Nation to Hollywood Mary Hullet was tak1n a s reen test The men seemed qu te pleas d by the results Thay had been looking for a g1rl of her type for the next great mov1e, nlhe White Snow She had formerly been an airline hostess for the U 3 plane America Round About lt must be nice!! Then I could see the U S House of Representatives and guess who the Speaker of the House was? ms 'rosy fcont.J the gym on Thursday night, we came back Frida morning to find our crape paper false ceiling on the floor lb were very disappointed, but we got busy and started puttlng it back up 'e worked very hard all day Frlday and finally got every thlng under control On Saturday n1ght everythlng went just f1ne Fverybody enjoyed themselves very much JoAnn Brumme was elected by the Senlors to reign as Prom Queen 514 55 Then came our Senlor year Our last year of school We started out wlth a new advisor, Mr James Bruce A fa 1l1ar face, Forest Rldenbaugh from Glenmont was back with us At the Halloween Carnlval we had for our concesslon a cake walk ye, also, sold cider and donuts Beverly Carpenter was our candldate for Carnival Queen She worked hard and with lots of help from the communlty, she was the w1nner w1th 3700 votes we were very proud of her and she was a lovely queen We ordered class plctures in November when we recelved them we were very pleased w1th them be ordered Soo penclls wlth basketball schedules on th m 'e made a good proflt on them Our worr1es have just b gun 'b started vnrklng on our Antler the last of Januaqy There was alot oi work to be done, but we got lt all completed and thought we d1d a very good job In February we planned to have a Valentine Dance on the l8th It was called the NSweetheart Ball We nada good turnout and we thlnk everybody that came had a good t1me Maxine Turk and Beverly carpenter represent d our class in the dPCl8W8tl0H th1s year GRADUATION There are twelve of us that have been together all twelve years The month of May was our busiest month of the year Our Farewell Chapel was on May 13, Baccalaureat May 15, Commencement on May 20 On May 22 we started on our class trip to ThSh1HgtOH, New York Clty, and Atlantlc C1ty Thus ends the l2 happy years we have spent 1n good old Killbuck Hlgh Thus we start out to face the future alone Our Colors Royal Blue and Silver Our Flower Amerlcan Beauty Rose Our Motto This Far and St1ll Cl1mb1ng QF, in-,W Z7 Pro hccy Hav you ever walked down th oath of a rose garden late at ni:ht9 The scent of the roses f1ll the air and you can see tnem in the pale moon llgrt You look up and see the beautiful, full moon Shlnlng hlgh over head Its beauty and all the beautiful things about you fill you with antlclpatlon of something wonderful about to happen It was on such a D1'ht as this that one of the mo t wonderful thlnvs happened to me I wa walk og down the path of my rose garden, taking 1U all 1ts beauty when 1 decided to s1t dow on the bench under a rose bush I l aned back and sat tnere looklng at the moon I had sat there for qulte a whlle when all at once, strange thlngs happened to my eyes The moon seemed to hold a strange f3SC1H3t1OH for me It seemed as though I were looking through a mlcroscope 1nto the future and that the plctures of the future were on th moon At least lt must have been the future because I could see Jer1 Lee Denman Just as pla1n a could be She wa in a schoolroom w1tn a lot of children around her She and Toot must have marr1 d because on the door was a sian tdat sald Mrs Kenneth Moore and ox her desk wa a p1cture of two ch1ldren whlch I presumed as be1ne her own Then the schoolroom faded out and I was ln a factory It looked like Brlar H1ll Stone Company and there stool the foreman, you guessed 1t, Bob Allison He was pass1ng out c1gars and on the wrapper it sald 'It's a G1rln He seemed very happy about lt Who wouldn't be? Next the v1sion changed to a farm sc ne There stood Kenneth Schonauer beslde his tractor, try1ng to f1x 1t, I guess He had alway talk d of getting h1s tractor when he was lh school and that wish had come true From the looks of the farm, he must be getting along successfully As the vision changed, I could see Jo Ann Brumme standlng in a chlcken lot, throwlng rain to the chlckens A small whlte frame house stood nearby and beside the house was a semi truck Loule was getting out and three small children were runnlng toward h1m J nn came out of the chicken lot and the five walked into the small whlte house Then I could see a well dressed business woman that was sitt1ng in the lobby of the Hotel Statler in Cleveland It was none other than the small town g1rl of Killbuck, Lou Ellen Tidball Her engagement was in the paper that she was reading The lucky man was Michael VanDuperville, a well known society man of Cleveland They were to l1ve at the VanDuperville mansion which was located on the lake She was hi private secretary What a life!!! 15 4 . .
