Blue Scalps Tribe; Clinch Second Win The Rangers captured their second win of the season by defeating the Tyler Apaches, 13-9. A 74-yard pass-run strike from quarterback Jim Hector to flanker David Graves, with only 1:34 gone in the first quarter, put the Apaches on the scoreboard with a 6-0 lead. The extra point attempt was wide. Racing around right end for a Ranger TD, QB Steve Adams capped off a six-play drive, followed by a Lester Belrose PAT which gave Kilgore a 7-6 lead. Final points by the Apaches were secured by kicker Steve Wilhite’s field goal.
