Kiester opened its football season by playing Alden. The final score of the hard fought game was 12-7 in favor of Alden. On September 19, the Bulldogs were defeated by Truman 12-6. Elmore defeated Kiester on Septem- ber 26 by a score of 24-6. Homecoming, held on October 10, found Kiester going down in defeat in the last seconds of play by a determined Delavan eleven 18-14. In a game played -on October 17, the Bulldogs finally hit the victory trail and swamped their arch rivals, Bricelyn, 14-0. After that the blue-clad Kiester eleven found range for 20 points against Swea City while allowing none, and then really poured on the steam against Thompson bombarding them with 53 points as compared to the opposition's 13. The season's record . . . 3 wins and 4 losses. The Bulldogs scored 18 touchdowns and 12 extra points. The scoring was divided thus: 7 THE ALL-STAR SELECTIONS NAME TD PAT TP J. The team was hampered by many injuries during the season, the severest coming when Rodney Engebretson 1 -celved head injuries at the start of the season and was unable to participate.
