Elementary free-hand drawing in charcoal and India ink, from simple objects and casts-progressing to groups of still-life and geometrical solids, in outline and black and white. g SECOND YEAR. Charcoal drawing from objects and antique ornaments, masks, busts, etc..g practice in perspective and compositiong time sketching, still life, painting in oil and water colors g out-of-door sketching at the discretion of the instructorg clay modeling. Classes in pencil sketching will be formed by the students who will pose for each other alphabetically, at least one hour each week. H Students who have already acquired proficiency in other art schools, or under artists in private studies, may, upon examination, enter the Art Department at such point in the course as their accomplishment entitles them to. The College grants certificates to those who satisfactorily complete the Art Course of four years. ' The Course in Art History is supplementary to the technical course and aims to culti- vate the aesthetical sense.
