il ED Cruise l-95 Having put the Atlantic Ocean in our Wake, KIDD found herself on station inthe Adriatic Sea, a position she would fill for sixty-nine days. Charged with providing firepower. electronic support, and national presence, KIDD was instrumental in the continued success of Operation Sharpguard, Deny Flight, and Provide Promise. In this role, KIDD supported the Naval Embargo and the No-Fly-Zone over the War torn republics of the former Yugoslavia. The times in the Adriatic were broken up by numerous underway replenishments and the always uncertain Tuesday and Friday mail deliveries. ,yy A, . Q, aiu. kg .R I

MED Cruise l 95 Someone said that the Days would drag and the weeks would fly. Often the case, the days were filled with many demanding activities. From General Quarters to the Underway Replenishment so necessary to continue our mission. there was never a slack day. The training often paid great dividends as the complex evolutions ran smoothly. Refueling at sea was a regular event after the first few weeks. Missile shoots and the torpedo exercises rounded out our training routine. The training and hard work made the difference and could be seen often as KIDD continued the tradition.
