Mark, who has been on the baseball team since his freshman year, contributed much moral support to his fellow teammates. Unfortunately for these players only nine people are allowed on the baseball field at one time. With only one varsity team, unlike the other . IQL. X .fu V Assistant baseball Coach Iohn Rotenberry and Head Coach Iack Steiger are having a discussion before one of the Chiefs' ball games. M., sports, playing time is somewhat limited for several players, making it a long ball game to sit through on the bench. Baseball Chiefs have excellent individuals Coached by Mr. Iack Steiger and assisted by Mr. Iohn Rotenberry the 1978 baseball Chiefs finished the season with an 8-8 record. Pitchers Larry Barnes, Iay Kinser, Andy Padron, and Curt Scrivener contributed much to the team with their ability. Ieff Maynard, four year starting second base- man, was all conference and the first to achieve all-state in baseball from KHS. Senior Dan Beck, received an honorable mention for all-confer- ence.
