Chiefs have rewarding season with teamwork A rewarding season was achieved by the Chief's varsity basketball team through a team effort. There was no one outstanding player. Each individual found and contributed his own spe- cial talent. After struggling from a slow start and a loss of players, the Chiefs still acquired a winning sea- son. Outstanding resources from the bench was the major factor that kept the Chief machine mov- ing!

With only four seniors on the squad the chiefs were strong in all weight classes and lun- ior Tim Iones turned in a record of 25-0 to be the best of the season. Not only did the varsity turn in a good record but both Iay-Vee ended their season at 5-1 and freshmen at 4-1. A good coach is important and the Chiefs had the best, Coach Charles Sanders was named Coach of the Year and Tim Iones Wrestler of the Year in district 2-A.
