W Year of the big play, is how some authorities have described the '78 football season. Senior David Duncan looks on in hopes of one here. Record doesn'+ measure success of the season Although the Varsity football Chiefs finished the season at C4-61 that doesn't mean that the sea- son was unsuccessful. According to Coach Pear- son there was talent on the team but not as much as the year before. Varsity Chiefs had a total of 51 players, and 23 of them were seniors. Out of this big group, five were chosen to the all conference team. Receiv- ing honors were, David Ferrell, William Tate, Rusty MacLachlan, Don Dishman, and Dannie Martin. Coach Pearson stated that most of the boys did their best. I am very proud of the boys who gave 100 per cent this past season. I With the defense set, Iunior Tim Hicks readies for the upcoming play, with thoughts for a Osky interception. Senior Quarterback David Lindeman does some foot work to place him in a position for a pass to overcome Memorial 7-0. 1 W' '- I VARSLZEY FO LL ' I QKHS V ,. , 'M . 21 V, it' . 29 ' 0 ,5tQiLouis4Gentral 0 5 i eYHarrison,Ark.
