Evidence of these traits is not hard to find. We started learning pride and tradition when we visited I-Iow Night or our first football game. By the time we're seniors we have a mind full of memories and a heart full of friends. Tradi- tions are hard to leave behind, but the pride and experiences we learned at Kickapoo will benefit us greatly. 1. The Kickapoo Chief is sad to say good-bye but is satisfied in knowing most of us will be back next year. 2. The spirit of the old Kickapoo Chief watches the last bus of the '78-'79-year leave for the summer. 3. Cupids Kurt Atwell and Kyle Roblin are disputing about who will be the reigning cupid of the Sweetheart Social. 4. Pete Daniel shows spirit by wearing mouse socks on sock day. Brad South- wick says he'll be his friend anyway. 5. Chris Burnett, Pat Fleming, Danny Perry and Brad McCarter sing. I like it Being Me , with good facial expression. l qu-will .'2' X 1

1. Commencement memories for the Class of '79 which is the largest gradu- ating Class yet in Kiekapoo's history. 2. Even though the day has just begun senior Mary Kollmeyer realizes it is going to be a long rough one. 3. Through the tunnel we catch a view of beginning construction on Kicka- poo's pedestrian overpass which will provide the safety of students. 4. Senior class president, William Tate, reflects pensively on the four years he has spent at Kickapoo High School. 5. Enthusiasm ran high at school bas- ketball games as the Chiefs beat rivals such as the Glendale Falcons and the Parkview Vikings. s 6. In early morning hours, before classes a glimpse of Kickapoo is seen through cornstalks in front of the school. i i 7. School doesn't seem so bad .after a vacation from snow days but, the bus heading home is still a good feeling. 8. Go to , . . world I'm a senior, says Patty Fleetwood.
