In d1t,1onfwfa W' W Uniting together as the Kickapoo Indiansdid to overcome problems associated with lifeon the plain, so did Kickapoo High School remain strong in tradition. 1 K 1 When Kickapoo first opened in 1971, the stu- dents and faculty had to make the best ofa split schedule due to the building not being com- pleted until October 25, but we survived this dis- mal start and united to become the newest and best school in Springfield. 5 We united again as the onlyihigh school to send reliefmoney to Guatemala in 1975 for the earthquake victims. y Collecting for the Pupils' Consolidated Fund Drive is a long standing tradition between home4 rooms. 52,208.54 was raised this year. Through loyalty, Kickapoo achieved tradition by counting on the student body for support and enthusiasm during events throughout the school year.

Delivering one of his inspirational thoughts about jogging, Mr. Wilkerson has Tammy Ferguson and Eddie Israel listening closely to him. 7.
