Exploring and experimenting are part of both the science and home economics departments. Future Homemakers of America began their activities with the annual FHA mixer. Donna Parker, FHA president and regional leader, stated, FHA has doubled in mem- bership, and we attracted more freshmen. It has really been a great year. Studying world food prob- lems drew muchconcern in the home ec classes, and they raised S60 to sponsor at needy child from Haiti. n , , r e Science students, among other things, concentrated on manand his origins, physics, and plant life. Science club viewed slide shows periodically, and telescopes were carried out on the football field for a night star-watch directed by Dr. Iohn Northrip, an SMSU physics professor. ,, .
