--fx ' I- ltgvlrlg ' ' 4 Q ,vim QM? The S Team C CREDIT is due to the swimming team of 1919. Out of a difficult schedule of eleven meets, the team won seven. Due to the illness of Coach Tussing, our team received quite a set-back, and were under a handicap until his return. A fine spirit was shown by the team and practice was carried on during his absence. We are especially proud of the boys who swam at Colgate. Bill Mosher, Chet Webb, Frank Reilly, and Hunce Roth got through the elimination meet held at the Falls High School, qualifying against heavy odds. Bill Mosher proved to be the fourth best back-stroke swimmer in New York State, while the others followed closely in their events. Three cheers for Bill! Several of the swimmers will graduate, but there is plenty of promising material to fill their places and next year's team ought to show this section some champions. RICH ARD BRITT -719 . 1155 y 45

Later when the field was dry, the squad moved out there to practice, and have been working faithfully ever since. Many veterans reported for the team this year, among whom are Foels, Niland, Bedell, Lasky, Camman, Halm, and I-Iarrer. The veterans will have to hustle, how- ever, because there are many promising candidates for the team. The team is again being coached by Mr. Tussing. Raymond Foels is the captain, and Thomas Rowley is the manager. T. H. S. is a member of the Western New York Baseball League, composed of Niagara Falls, North Tonawanda, Lockport, Kenmore, and Tonawanda. The schedule shows eleven games, the last with North Tonawanda to be played on our field on June 8. At that time, we expect our boys to hold a place high in the League.
