enior C2555 Aofory On September 1, 1945, eight adventuresome and wide-eyed five and six year-olds were accomp- by their mothers to the first grade. Sue Miller, Ienny Huckabey, Kathryn Smith, Norman Bentley, Robert Hayes , Dick Drace, Darlene Spoonemore, and john Dinsmore eyed our first grade teacher, Miss Koehl, with wonder. Miss Koehl taught us such things as the alphabet, addition and sub- traction, Also we shall never forget our adventures with Dick and jane. Ienny Huckabey left us our second year, but our class did not decrease, because Theodore Victor Hern joined us at this time. In the third grade jenny came back because she was tired of being the head of her class in the country school she went to. Incidentally, she was the only one in her grade. Our fourth year no one joined our happy little throng. One day in the fifth grade our room door opened and in walked none other than Donald Freese. He was about as puzzled as we were about fractions. Additions to our class started picking up in the sixth grade as Iim Shannon and james Atterbury joined our gang . Donald Freese left us only to return later. In the seventh grade Bob Beaver, Gerry Faris, Patsy Rodgers, and Harold Calvert became additions to our class. Donna Fry joined us in our last year of Grade School. Wilma Lane, Sylvia Iansen, and Mike Kussman joined us as we were initiated our fresh- .nan year, Donald Freese also arrived upon the scene. ' No l957 seniors joined us as we became sophomores . As we were practicing our junior Play, one day, Kay Neil paid us a visit and became another BAD DUGENSH. After eleven years of going to Keytesville Public School, we became seniors at last. Ioining' .is this year were Barbara Akers, Helen Akers, Ioyce Blackwell, Maxine Blanton, William Christopher Ioyce Ford, Iames Glasgow, Chris Tatum, Eleanor Turner, and Frances Williams. Our total number of seniors then became thirty-one. It won't be long now before the 16th of May, when the 1957 graduates of Keyte sville Public School will receive their diplomas. Many, many, of us will re - member our school days at K. H. S. . X K 'juz' , 2, f la il A it V - af 4 i i 51.55 5 ,55 - Z V ,hte ri .. X SENT! N1 fSff.??ili'1 1 W . .5 ri, r . Znior CALM prop my I, Madam Mystic, know all, see all, and tellall. My predictions are infallible, Iust cross my palm with silver and I will look into your future. One day while shining my crystal ball, I suddenly got a fresh batch of visions. All of these pertained to the great Senior class of Keytesville, in 1957. In my crystal ball I saw Gerg Faris the Elvis Presley of 1967 , as the country's newest rock and roll singing sensation. I saw Patsy Rodgers as the wife of a grocery store magnate. This is a good thing for it takes several grocery stores to feed Patsy's 10 children. Next I saw bespectacled lohn Dinsmore, as professor of Atomis Energy at the University of Missouri. I-Iis classmates always knew he could do it. I also saw fearless Wilma Lane intrepid traveler in to space as the first girl to reach the moon. She said that her trip was exciting and that she was planning to go back as soon as possible. Seems like she met some moon man on her trip. I then saw lames Glasgow, former member of the Keytesville band, but who now was chief bass horn player in the New York Philharmonic. The crystal ball then began to get a little cloudy. It soon cleared, however, and I had a vision of the Keytesville High School. It was quite a change from the old one. I saw Sue Miller go into the school. I was thinking that it surely took her a long time to get through school, when I learned that she was a teacher there, teaching, of all things, Geometry. Then the visions began coming fast and furious. I saw ames Atterbury as the star basket- ball player of a leading professional team. I also saw Barbara Akers as a leading modeland fashion designer. I saw Ted Hern as a chemical engineer, working for the government and living in Arizona. He blamed it all on his High School Chemistry. I then saw Darlene Spoonemore looking somewhat Eskimoish, clas in her fur parka. . She was famous hunter and trapper in the wilds of Canada. I-Ier specialty was foxes. My next vision was of the former lenny Huckabey, now Dawn Day, the greatest acting find of the century. I-Ier latest picture, in super sterosonic sound, fourth dimension, and olfactorious scent, was about to released. I next saw Maxine Blanton happily married to a millionaire and of course is living in a New York Penthouse. . I also saw William Christopher who was a world famous surgeon. I-Ie reported that his last operation was a great success except for one thing, the patient died. As I gazed intently into my crystal ball a vision of our national capitol appeared. On the Capitol steps was none other than Senator Norman Bently, who had just proposed a bill that would do away with schools. The last vision that I received was of the very wealthy society matron, Mrs. Roy Willett, the former Miss Donna Fry of Keytesville. She had just thrown another fabulouspartyy she didn't say where to.
