Addition of acoustical tiling to the walls of the music room proved to our advantage. Strains of the popular Dragnet , Bremen Town Musicians and Cardinal Overture were among those that could be heard coming from the music room. Spring schedule included a home concert, contests at Marshall and Kirksville and narticiuation in a county music festival. John Dinsmorei, bass horn player, Joined our band in December. Clee Club LIFT THINE. EYES, O LIFT Tl-UNE EYES-- This was the beautiful sacred song sung by the girls for a union church service in Keytesville. Then there were other choral numbers such as Totem Tom-Tom and Boom-Fa -Da -Ra -La the members enjoyed singing. Spring plans were participation in contests and a performance at a P,T,A. meeting. uThe B Bandn MARGARET AND HER BATON TWIRLER PROTEGES2 NANCY KINCAID AND DOROTHY RUCKER It's a little picture, but we were a big B Band , we thought. At first, our music consisted of squeaks and other indescribable, uncontrolled sounds: later on we played melodies that were easier to listen to.
