When the Keystone Oaks Varsity Basketball team started' this year's season, they had a lb-6 record left by last year's team to overcome. Under the coaching of Jim Sims, coach ofthe West Penn Team in the Roundball Classic, and the leadership of DARYL EGLER, a member of the West Penn All Star Team, the Eagles started out unbeatable. They were undefeatable throughout the exhibition season, but were taken back by Bethel Park in the second game of the regular season. ln the U.S.C. tournament, Keystone Oaks be' came the first team ever to win the tournament in two consecutive years. Behind a 24 point perform- ance by EGLER, the Eagles nipped U.S.C. 61,60 in overtime. Also for the second year in a row, The Most Valuable Player of the tournament went to a Keystone player DARYL EGLER. DARYL EGLER set a new school record when he scored 42 points against Chortiers Valley, averag- ing 27 points per game during the season. He was awarded the Most Valuable Player for this season and is considered to be one of the finest athletes S 9 ever to attend Keystone Oaks! The other players who also helped KO build a fine record are Jay Rosser, Mark Cushanick, and Rich Kibsey, John Zel- ler, Alex Monti, Greg Braidic, and Joe Werner. With tour returning lettermen, KO will keep up the winning streak in basketball. V
