We had such kind .stewards to start us 'upon our JOUFDQY. MiSS A111113 Peters and other grade teachers helped us get our ability :and imtelligelwei in fine Ship,ShaDG- Soon a transfer took place. We were change-d to the orderly ship, Junior High. Here We prospered 'under the care of the wise and experienced ,stewardS, Miss Arnold and Miss Johnson and our worthy captain, Mr. Judy. Them we were promoted to the grand ship, 'tS'ophom-ore. And 'what fa jolly admiral Mr. Springer was. What delightful stewards our teachers! All was 110i smooth 'sailing though. Sometimes the ships' rollickedy with fun and laughter, but sometimes the sea got rough and stormy. Many became seasick and, alas, they were left behind! The Soiph'ornore encountered et fstorgm when it could not agreei to a Hrst mate. Wayme Eisenhour .became class president after Lydia .Mae Nowatski 16- signed. The voyage on the Junior ship was a frolic. we shall always remember. Our first mate was George Barger, class president, with captans, Mr. Dayton, Mr. Deahl. Mrs. White., and Miss Meeks. Under their command we brought on deck one of the most successful Junior-,Senior Banqfuet and Dance ever held, The following year, it was like real sea tars that we went on board the Senior ship, and hoisted the Blue and White flag of class colors. 'The Officers at the helm, during this last knot were: Captains, Miss Alice Smith. and Miss Ida Smith. First mate: Dee Peters, class president. Activities on -dec.k were bully. In sports the bars go to the :basketball team, who won the Sectional Tournament and placed .second im the Regional Tournament. Honors to Donald Compton, Clemm Montgomery, George Wagoner, James Rafter and Daniel Mosser. Stars to the football team. S , In literary, the bars go to John Oliver, Lydia Mae Nowatski, Howard Shores, Jane Thatcher, Donald Hott, and Wa,yne Eisenhour: 'Then the Juniors 'sounded mess call, and in sigsiiilicance of their rank, we Seniors attended the Junior-Senior Frolic without paying. . Then our admiral, Mr. Springer, called, Land ahead! -and the-opder was givem to drop' anchor and we were landed at the shore of Graduation , given our ship papers, and passports, we went down the gang plank and out-where? James Rafter and Junior Haines. Now, take all this with a grain of salt and you have read the history of the class of 1936. S' 1 9 3 6 Page Ywemjf Ksvnisco i .
