There are two groups that the majority of us take for granted the most: those who per- form small but important jobs, and those who take care of us with the larger, more complicated jobs. Our School Board falls into the latter cate- gory. These people slave over such issues as bussing, heating, hiring good teachers, and providing us with the fantastic facilities we enjoy. They do a superb job of molding the tax payers' money into a grade A school. Thank you, Board Members, for taking so much time and effort to pro- vide the best for us. Today people seem to take too many things for granted - small things such as the grass and plants. Although they are small, we could not survive without them. The 1979 Pirate was put together this year not only by the annual staff, but also with help from the photography class. After all, a yearbook would not be very good without pictures. We are living in a world which moves so rapidly that we seldom take time to slow down and enjoy the beauty of things around us. Take, for example, the sun. How often do you take time to enjoy the beautiful sunrise and sunset in the Panhandle? We are often quick to criticize the weather but never take time to say, Thank you Lord for the beautiful sunset. I am afraid that we are in such a state of frenzy of the time that we cannot appreciate the great life we have. Ichallenge each one of you to set aside a time each day to slow down and dwell on the beauty around you. The beauty of the weather, food, clbthes, houses, homes, and freedpm. Wehave a freedomthat is second to none. I encourage you to study this freedom and cherishit but abovg. all Speakiout for it and defend it at all cost.
