The band has learned a lot this year, and they think the most important thing is that they have learned to enjoy the music they have played . They have learned to recognize when they are playing well by listening, watching, and wanting to make their music sound well . They have learned that it takes much time and many a boring rehearsals along with the dedication of everyone 1st FLUTE TRIO: B. D ay, T. Adams, B. Burkett to earn a superior rating at the District Band Contest. They went on to earn an excellent in State competition - a thing they would all work the long hard hours for - again. Sp 6013.18 The band wanted to and we think they didl represent KHS to its highest point this year. They hope to do the - same in the years to come because they are proud to be members of the Keyes High School Band. The band would like to thank the school for allowing them to go to State this year, and again they thank everyone for caring enough to make this trip possible . They also want to thank their director Miss Evelyn Hadley for caring enough to make them realize that a superior rating was not an impossible dream but just a challenge thay they could and did meet. .
