Employers provide different working posi- tions for the student learners during the school yearg moreover the learners are given planned and supervised training in a spaced period of time to determine the requisite skills. The co-operating employers set up related study schedules in order that the combination of skills and knowledge will produce top-grade employees instead of the usual, mediocre workers. Bookkeeping COMMERCIAL DEPARTMENT OFFERS BUSINESS SKILLS In today's ever-changing society we are part of the business word and its complex structure. The training offered in school should be instrumental in preparing our young people to accept their rules as informed citi- zens and capable workers. The Commercial Department of K.W.H.S. carries the responsibility for vocational pre- paration of a limited number of young people and assists in the total education of young people. Vocational has been defined as a program of education which equips the stu- dent with marketable skills, knowledge, and attitudes needed for initial employment and advancement in business occupations. Our department has a double purpose in the school, to give the necessary vocational training which will provide efficient and com- petent office help, and to provide incentive for those who desire advanced study in business or in business education.
