CLASS PROPHECY fC0nt1nuedj I haven t seen Dlck Patesel for a long tlme but the other day I cut a cl1pp1ng out of the newspaper concermng h1m It seems Dxck went to Hawau to teach Baton Twlrlxng to some of the natlves You know how strange some of thelr customs are don t you? Well Dzck ate supper at one of the natlves houses one everung and by some mlx up belzef the father thought Dzck had 1ntent1ons of proposing marnage to h1s daughter The father was pretty large and Dzck s argument wasn t very convln clng so Dlck 15 now marned to a Hula Hula g1rl Bernelce Hart IS fxnally a school teacher It s hard to belleve 1sn t lt? She teaches the hfth grade and I hear she s just as popular wlth the kxds as she ever was Especially durlng Act1v1t1es Perlod because every day at that tune she reads a chapter of Forever Amber to them Bernelce told me the other day that she had recelved an offer to teach football at Notre Darne next year Of course I dldn t belleve her She told me later that she was only kzddmg me She had recelved the offer by mlstake The letter had been addressed to Mr Bernace Hart By the way the Semor glrls of 194-8 had an advantgge over you glrls of 58 If you remember the Semors of 48 graduated Leap Year Well Marge Fr1edr1ch really took advantage of th1s She proposed to a Mr., Thlslsrxskybuslness lmmedlately after she graduated Her husband was formerly the King of Lumberjacks He really made money and now Marge 15 putt1n It to good? ? ? use Marge also changed her hus band s name to Frledrlch Slnce that was Leap Year and she did the proposlng she clded he should go by her name Marge really takes a great mterest 1n h1m though She 15 now read1ng the book How To Ra1se A Hen Pecked Husband Martha Mutchler really hat the H1 Lltes She rapldly became an actress and slnger over mght It wasn t all luck e1ther although that had a lot to do w1th xt One evemng Martha went to a large party be1ng held for the Stars of Tomorrow There she met the most el1g1ble bachelor of Hollywood Howard Hughes It was love at flrst Slght Both of them fell madly m love They were marrled r1ght away and were d1 vorced about as qu1ck, Whenever Martha IS asked 1f she 15 marrled she lmmedlately replxes Oh' Now and then She s really happy now She s marned to the Jamtor of the theater Well I guess I ve been bragglng complauung and apologzzlng dmout long enough I do hope your class w1ll be as successful as ours Don t be disappointed lf your class doesn t turn out as good as ours though because everyone can t be born with a sllver spoon 1n thelr mouth Besxdes xt only happens to the best of people so I am sure you class w1ll be a success Good Luck'j Very truly yours .3 I Belleveme Thlstookalonglongtzme 1 . . . . . . . .. 1 1 1 1 . . 1 . 1 . . . . . .. . 1 . . 1 1 . CI ASS HISTORY In September of 1944 we became the GREENIES at KHS We were llke most other Freshman classes as we had a tlme gettxng lnto the da1ly routlne of hxgh school It seemed we always were wronfv no matter what we sald or d1d But ln order to become full fledved Freshman we had to be glven a formal 1n1t1at1on Thls was glven the flrst week ln October and although we not the usual treatment It seenxed we galned more conhdence mn our selves after thls 1n1t1at1or1 We dmdn t feel so lnferxor anymore Our Sophomore year was more enjoyable but passed so quxckl, We formally lmtlated the Freshman and then we felt even more 1rr :uortant we had a very busy year We gave our play THERE GOES THE BRIDE the flrst semester and our RECEI' TIO h last Both were very successful and enjoyed by all Fxnally we became dlflfllfled Sen1ors ' Th1s IS what we had been worlung for slnce we were SIX years old Our class colors are blue and sllver Our flower IS the Amerlcan Beauty Rose and our lwfotto IS WITH THE ROPES OF THE PAST WE SHALI RING THE BELLS OF THE FUTURE As we bid our hlgh school days a fond farewell may we step lnto an even more xnterestxng and prosperxng, chapter of our llves .. .- I, . . , l ' Q D y - . . .
