Yet all of thesefnnd .1ll of the classes above themfcannot help wishing th.1t the new building unit, with its .1ddition.1l classrooms, its lLll3Ol'L1IOflCS, its lllWl'Llfy', gymnasium, lockers .uid other fiicilities could be i1v.1il.1ble for their use in the intervening yei1rs. It is recognized that construction can begin only when building fund ilkLLlllTLllLlflOI'l reaches .1n Llp- propri.1te level. Thiit the iiccluisition of building funds is .lLLL'lL'f.1llIlg is .1 hopeful sign. Since the Blnflerfi initial contribution of S1008 in l9i0, every gr.1du.1ting class has made 11 generous con- tribution. The Kew-Forest School ASSOL'lLIflOI1, in its fund riiising this ye.1r, ecluitlled its record .lL'lllL'YCINCITf of last y'CLlI', through its .1nnu.1l Mil- it.1ry Bridge and its sponsorship of the Dr.1m.1tic Club production. Even lower school pupils h.1ve L'L1Llgl1f the building fund spirit, Llflkl, on .1 number of otc.1sions, an enterprising group, through the s.1le of .1 lower sthool newsp.1per. 'Sneezy News. h.1s m.1de size.1ble contributions, A number of p.1rents, from time to time, ll.1YC in.1de generous donations. Through .1ll of these sources the build- ing funds have grown. Building funds h.1ve risen, b11t so. .1lso. h.1ve costs of construction risen. It is quite likely th.1t the quarter million doll.1rs once thought to be the possible maximum cost m.1y be now the INlIllIN.ll figure, Such .1 building project, of course, must be .1decIu.1tely and sensibly tin.1nced.
