A warm heart and a warm smile malce Midge easily one of the most lilceable girls in the Senior Class. But beneath this serene surface lie a tiery temper and the very spirit of eloquence which tlare up when anything irlcs her. We shall remember her mostly, however, for that great understanding which has often been a source ol' comlort to us in troubled moments. Midge Commencement Plans Completed HE members of the Class of 1958 will graduate in the Community House of Forest Hills Gardens, on the evening of June 5, with Louis D. Marriott, Headmaster, presid- ing. Hof Hall will be decorated with branches of leaves and flowers. The senior spealcers will be Marjorie' Scott, Edward O'Shea and Raymond Shrewsbury. Mr. Marriott will award the diplomas, assisted by James L. Dixon, and Mrs. Lucy Allen Smart. The guest spealcer will be Dr. Will C. French, of Teachers College, Columbia University. There will be violin and organ accompaniment to the singing of an anthem and school songs by all High School pupils. Faculty members will wear academic gowns and hoods, representing their various colleges. Scholarship, French, Attendance Cups Awarded HE highest individual scholarship cup, presented by the class of 1952, was awarded to Elaine Bernstein for the best record among High School pupils in the year 1956-57. The attendance cup, presented by Mrs. Smart, is engraved with the names of Joseph Ptitterling and Walterlyn Vanderveer for perfect records in 1956-57. The Millar Cup, awarded to the student contributing the most to the school in 1956-57, was won by Fredericlc Bruenner. The Rosalind and Muriel Levine Cup, awarded to the pupil with the highest record in French in 1956-57, was awarded to Elaine Bernstein. The Suzanne van Dylce Cup, awarded for most improvement in French in 1956-57, was won by Vera Engelhardt. A gift was presented to Robert Mitchell for fluency in French Conversation. 22
