Message From The President . . College women make big plans, especially when they become Seniors. They may be made in noisy sessions at informal gatherings in the dorm rooms or on walks in quiet confidence by the lake with that special friend. It is at times like these that Knowledge and Experience fuse with Interest and Hopes and you become very real persons. If only the door of tomorrow would yield just a crack! Is the career all it was forecast to be? Is the home the house of dreams? Is the community rewarding to live in? You cannot possibly know the answers to these questions sitting on the hard floor against your bed or gazing across Keuka's waters to the hill beyond. The answers will come after college days in the real setting of work, of home and of community. Then, will you look back and say, 'That course was heIpful,' 'That counsel was right for me,' 'That experience gave me new insight,' 'That re- sponsibility I took was the best thing that could have happened to me'? If you say these things some day, your educa- tion will have 'taken' and Keuka will have the only reward it asks.

Looking Through Four Years of Keuka As we look through the pages of Kiondaga each of us will see a different college-a college as it appears to us. As I look back four years, only two are at all clear. Earlier I see only a glittering lake surrounded by snowy hills and campus, an evalua- tion day with very mature young women report- ing their field work experiences and then going on to tea in the lounge, with the lake as a back-drop. And now for two years, always the lake as back- drop-now glittering, now dull, deep blue in a setting of green grass and trees-a lighter blue against winter snow-always changing. An ever changing background for our college stage, a stage of many scenes and plays-freshman ,S M vespers, pow-wow, junior weekend, ice carnival, May Day, Commencement-but always an at- mosphere of Social Responsibility. Juniors and seniors responsible for the orientation of freshmen and sophomores, Social Advisory Board responsible for teas, dances, receptions, games, parties, House Council responsible for a week highlighting our religious life, Social Responsibility Committee responsible for helping each Keukonian become an inform- ed world citizen and a community member ready and able to serve a variety of local needs.
