With Mr. Evans still in command we find Tom Englebert, Harriet Higgins and Mrs. Dawson as co-captains. During the year Mrs. Dawson's health made it impossible for her to complete the years journey so she was replaced by Mrs. Earhart for a few weeks and then Mrs. Starry took over for the remainder of this league of the voyage. Mervin Husband dropped out during our Junior year. Guiding us in the final lap of our journey we find H. C. Ensminger. Jo Ann Johnson, Tom Englebert, and Mina Hargis. Between the Junior and Senior Ports we lost Lucille Dunn and gained another passenger--Harold Ensminger. Those who will walk down the gang-plank at the end of this long voyage are: Harold Ensminger Emma Butenschoen Albert Means John Laux Dolores Keener Rex Bowman Bob Meeks Glenn Raplinger Florence Craig Earl Craig Alberta Fridley CLASS POEM We've come tonight to celebrate The class of Nineteen forty-eight Our hearts are sad, our thoughts are blue, As now we say Farewell to you First it's happy Dolores Keener, We all are glad that we have seen her. And the little one, so well-known, ls petite Emma Butenschoen. Sweet and demure is Florence Craig, Your luck we wish, your smile we beg. One lady fair seeks further fame, Alberta Fridley is her name. I-le's not a clown and not a showman, We say Goodbye to Rex Bowman. -A'

Then there is one with eyes so keen, It must be black-haired Albert Mean. Altho he is no singer, His name is still, Harold Ensminger. He is so tall and slim of leg, It is no other than Earl Craig. We wonder, wonder what he seeks, When mischief drives, Robert Meeks He is not fair, he has no rocks, But Margaret says, It is John Laux. He is so true, we can't forget, That Glenn himself is in the set. This is not poetry, it is only rhyme, So why should I take further time. So we'll not cry, but only sigh, As to the seniors we say, Goodbye.'
