JOY Pride and Spirit of KHS Each year the students elect Little J as their mascot to represent the pride and spirit of Kermit High. For 1966, Toni Parker was selected as Little J . Toni was as noticeable as the spirit itself, When the pride and spirit needed a boost, Toni was always present at the games, pep rallies, events and even in the halls of KHS. The man who's always behind the Jackets, Coach Charles Jetton, shouts instruction from the sidelines. Jackets Exemplify Spirit Behind any winning organization, athletic or otherwise there must be a desire to win that is sparked by pride and spirit, The students, faculty and fans of KHS exemplified that type of spirit in 1966, at games, pep rallies and in- dividual events. gl -sy' Janis Coulter, Debbie DeVolin, Michelle Brown, Karen VanDeman, Toni Parker and Glenda Crawford abandon their batons and pom poms to boost the gridders in the 19-O Homecoming victory over El Paso High. Even rain doesn't dampen the Yellow Jacket spirit, as Mary Graham, Lana Koon and Peggy White yell at the Andrews game under the protection of an umbrella. i
