V ,K Q 1 wfdlk' STUDENT CCDUNCIL The Student Council of KHS, under the leadership of Joe Don Hollcroft, led the student body through many activities during the school year of 1947-48. Among its many activities the Student Council sponsored intramural sports to heighten class spirit, directed the Halloween Carnival which the classes and clubs used as a money-making project, supported dances for local and visiting students, scheduled assembly programs, welcomed all visitors to the school campus, and endeavored to make the high school system a more democratic organization. The head officers of the Student Council represented KHS in Corpus Christi at the Southern Association of Student Government meeting where they received instruc- tion on student governing. gli
