Kermit can boast not only of fine, modern, splendidly equipped school buildings, but it can also boast of the finest group of young people to be found anywhere. We are proud of our school annual, but we are prouder of the boys and girls the faculty and the organizations and ac tivities that have made the annual a success A school annual reflects the character of the stu dent body and in future years those who knew and loved Kermit High School and were a part of it will derive much pleasure from reading the Sandstorm for 1946 41 finding therein a chronicle a picture and panorama of school life for that year one of the most eventful in the annals of Kermlt Schools Sincerely

Other than carrying out efficiently the regular business activities ot the school, the board has been responsible tor the building of a new I8 room modern grade school. building ol new grandstands, enlarging ol the football stadium, greatly improving the track and purchasing ol tour new buses. They have helped to make the Kermit school system equal, and in many cases superior, to any in the state. lt is with pleasure that we devote this space to our school board,

DEAR STUDENTS AND FACULTY: I sincerely feel that it is an honor to be permitted to write a few words in this Sandstorm. On these pages you will find re- flected the activities of clubs and departments, the cooperation of classes, the teams, the achievements of the K band, and a likeness of the two hundred and fifty loyal students that make Kermit High School the best in the land. Interwoven through- out the whole pattern we find a loyal, co-operative, friendly and helpful faculty group, sincerely in- terested in youth, its problems, its attainments, its failures, and its am- bitions.
