Really Measured Up The Class of 1973 experienced a year filled with typical sophomore involvements. Many of them got behind the wheel of a car for the first time during driver's training. Their red class rings arrived just before Christmas vacation, a perfect time to flaunt them. The sophomores held the first competition rally on 7 January 15th. Rally ChairmanL Carobfn Miller! made certain that theractors knew their lines. The skit was based on a Roman trial. Emperor Scott Foth was sentenced to die by the fangs of a vicious lion - Jessie Acosta. Wolf whistles and laughter filled the gym when six shapely f?j cheerleaders took the floor. Masculine physiques lurked somewhere beneath the make-up, hair, and extra padding. SEATED: Vice-President Gloria Valdez, President Bob Kubo, Secretary-Treasurer Geneieve Madrid, and Social Chairman Karen Velarde. STANDING: Sergeant-at-Arms Mike Texeira, Rally Chairman Carolyn Miller, Representative Ken Lea, Representative Vicki Samarin, and Representative Becky Botelho.

Freshman Fledglings Flew Successfully The members of the Class of 1974 proved to be exceptionally am- bitious. Their presence was felt in most organizations and athletic teams. The freshmen suffered through many initiations, but usually seemed to come out with a grin. Their chrysanthemum corsage sale on Homecoming Night was a major money making project, in addition to a class pin sale held in the spring. The competition rally, under the direction of Rally Chairman Janet Delarm, was presented on January 29th. The highlight of the rally was an eagle plucking contest. Paul Gentry, representing the Frosh-Soph basketball team, won the spirited event. , 2 ,ir V li 5 g i. -. , 5 A -L 1 i'v it 'TQFV XJ . ..1 7 is ' - ,ds ,if Q sage H mae F gm was ' -J-I 1 Q
