KLeft to Right, Standing Larry bcCauley, Cliff Markle, Robert Hendrlccson, Billy Anderson, Jean Williams, Betty Countryman, hr Benlnati, Judy Iisner, Benson Hilgers, Rachel Shea Ruth Green Seated Carlton Connors, oe Vhitten, Roger Soulre, Beverly Brown, The Student Council, under the leadership of our prcs deut, Joe Vhitten and advisor, Mr Beninati, had a fairly successful year We began, September fifteenth by holding a Hbacl to School Dancen which was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attendee Vhen the Student Council tackled the Iagaz1ne Dr1ve this year, they didn't expect that lt would be very successful because of the prosperous drive the previous year But the fact tlat it was such a tremendous success was a welcomed surprlse Something new vas tried this year The Student Councll sponsored and supervised the selling of blue pencils on WhlCn the basketball schedule was printed in white The results were reasonable slnce no thing like this had been done in hHS before The Council of '50 '51 undertook a Job that has been neglected for several years, the correction and organization of the Constitution of KHS It was a big venture which wouldn't have been successful ex cept for the full cooperation of the whole Council and the expert guidance of Mr Beninati This ended a exceptionally busy year of hard work which has and will prove worth while to those on the future Student Councils i N lr ' ' . 3 A . .
