Allisong hir, Newkirk Along with the Varsity this year, the J. V. had to Htake it on the chi most of the time. There was, however, a thrilling 2 point victory over Montgomery High School by a score of 55 to 33. Games were scheduled with Ellenville, Liberty, Maybrook, Montgomery, and the members of the NOSU league. In an emergency, members of the J. V. squad were called on to play Var sity ball. Their capable work speaks well for next year's hopes when an experienced team takes to the floor. I1

Mildred Whitten was elected to be Captain. New uniforms were chosen---white flannel skirts, blue wool sweaters, decorated by a cheerleader's K and white rayon blouses. Since the uniforms were more expensive than the money alloted by Student Council a roller skating party was planned. In addition to roller skating there was a skit in which the cheerleaders starred, and the raffling of a turkey which Mrs. George Marshal won. The party was very successful, financially and socially. On the 21st of March, the cheerleaders and June Addis, the Manager, attended the cheerleaders meet at Port Jervis with Mr. Farnsworth and Mr. Newkirk. Al- though three members of the squad must be replaced next year, new peppy cheers are promised by an experienced group.
