Greeneg J, Allison: M. lhltz The Senior Class came through its last year of Kerhonkson under the able srpervision of Miss Marilyn Beichert. Though the year was not a financial success, it was a busy one. The first event on the calendar was a hallo- ween Party followed by the Christmas Ball. A food sale was held which turn ed out well and added to the working capital of the class. They shared in the purchase of a plaque in werory of those who had gone to the service. The girls helped organize the Kerac Chapter of the Girls Hi-Y and also to the surprise of rany were victorious in the Junior-Senior game. The class was very active in intramurals and proviied three newbers for the cheer- leading squad. They gave a panel discussion on teachers and their pay for the March meeting of the P.T.A., and sent two representatives to the Herald Tribune Forum in N.Y.C. They co-sponsored with the Juniors a Spring Car- nival and a Prom, the big events of the year. Our school paper HFlying Goosen and HCouncil Firesn were aily supervised by rewlers of the Senior Class and their advisor. In sales per person they lead in the magazine sub scription drive and near the top in the total amount. Retrospectively speak ing, it was a good year. President--Frank Schordine V. Q ifx'aP .,, C 1 - 'i f 'iff Q ivsif' l D C u f L P A fQ',d,aff',rg Eidi' All 'Wh' SENIOR CLASS HISTORY As I sat recalling my memories of the Senior Class of 1947, I thought of Sept 1943, when a large group of boys and g1P1S walked timidly up the steps, clutching tightly on the banisters But under the supervision of Mrs Crose, we came through with flying colors We d1dn't have mary activities that year but we got over our shyness and we also contributed largely to the War Bond Drives Our Sophomore year, under the supervision of Mr Newklrk, was a howling success We came out on top in the War Bond Drives and also contributed to the Red Cross Our greatest accomplishment was a HTruth or Consequence Shown given for the enjoyment of all in an assembly program Upon entering our Junior year, we found out that our class had dwindled from 35 to 19, but with Miss Stengel as our advisor, we were sure to be successful With the help of the Seniors we presented a Jr Sr Halloween Party, pre dominated by old clothes and informal games On St Patrlck' Day we also sponsored a celebration Since we had plenty of money in the treasury, we took a class trip to Bear Mt Park Finally we looked forward to the Jr Sr Prom which was held early in June As our Senior year began, we found we were in desperate need of funds so we had a Halloween Party and a semi formal Christmas Dance with the able assistance of our advisor Miss Beichert The girls also sold candy and gum noontlmes On April 25, the Junior and Seniors held a successful carnival with all kinds of entertainment Now we look forward to our Prom in May With graduation just around the corner, the Class of '47 will soon be saying farewell to their Alma Mater, but we will aloays have so many fond memorie that K H S will never be forgotten QQ 56 9 or cg: fx' YA 002 so 0-4 ,,' QS X9 Vac OI s '6 Q ,qv 'I 45 365x350 2595326 9 GQQR U Ya 5 A X, 519 fglyx 2 gf3 6?
