'64-'6 Academically K.H.S. has made definite growth, The organization of an honorary society The Beta Club, is one outstanding development. Its membership is based upon grade merit, cooperative conduct, and consistent pursuit of moral and mental growth. The compiling of a Superintendent's Honor Roll, composed of students making an A average in subject matter and citizenship, and the Principal's Honor Roll, those students with a respective B average, have certainly been instrumental in promoting and encouraging a higher standard of student achievement. The creation of a Glee Club has opened another area of expression and growth for talented and interested students. Athletically K.H,S. has acquitted itself well in all areas. Football Season Record as follows: 5 wins and 5 losses. First AllrDistrict Team, Lynn Williams, Second All-District Team, Kenny Sessions and Walter Parrishg '64 selection for hardest-running back, Larry Mc- Neeleyg most-aggressive lineman, Ronnie Westbrook. Basketball Season Record at press time: District Co-Champions with 20 wins and 7 losses. Dawson Tournament, First Place, Gary Howell on All-Tournament Team. fDelores Scott All- Tournament for girlsj. Kerens Tournament, Second Place, Walter Parrish and Larry McNeeley on All-Tournament Team. fDarlene Jock All-Tournament for girlsj. K.H.S. Marching Band, Majorettes, and the Kerenette Drill Team gave outstanding half- time performances and at all the pep rallies. 56
